We are excited to introduce our new squash coach, David!
From now on, you’ll find him at our club almost every day, offering both group and individual training sessions for all levels – from beginners to advanced players (all sessions are in English).
David is from the small town of Callander in Scotland, where his squash journey began quite by chance: the original plan was to play tennis with friends, but the weather had other ideas – it started to rain, and they ended up on an indoor squash court instead! The rest, as they say, is history😉 From that moment on, squash became his passion. Some of his best memories from Scotland involve traveling with friends to youth and adult competitions, where the intense matches were always balanced with great fun.
In 2001, his love for squash took him to Sweden, where he became a youth coach at Malmö SRC and the assistant coach of the Swedish junior national team. He also led the “Squash Skolan” program, helping players progress from beginner to international level. Additionally, he was involved in organizing major squash events such as the Nordic Junior Open, the European Club Championships, and the European Team Championships. In 2007, he became the head coach of the Swedish junior national team, a role he held until 2015.
Then David moved to Denmark to take on the role of national team head coach. There, he worked with the youth, women’s, and men’s national teams and was also responsible for referee and coach education programs.
He has also worked with PSA players such as Kristian Frost, Line Hansen, Cameron Pilley, Klara Møller, and Theis Houlberg.
And now, a new chapter begins – in Tallinn! We’re excited about all the opportunities for growth and success in the world of squash that lie ahead with him – welcome aboard!
